Die Ausstellung dokumentiert die Errichtung und Verbreitung der Zwangsarbeitslager in Mittel- und Osteuropa durch das sowjetische Regime. Die Fülle von dargebotenen Quellen werden von den Open Society Archives zur Verfügung gestellt. "The Open Society Archives, which took into custody the records of the Research Institute of RFE [q.e. Radio Free Europe]/RL [q.e. Radio Liberty], holds materials relating to forced labor and concentration camps in several fonds. The Research Institute of RFE/RL maintained files on various issues pertaining to prisons and camps in Central and Eastern Europe for supporting the Radio's broadcasters and political analysts. The files are to be found both in Slavic, Baltic and Eurasian Archives (SBEA), and East European Archives (EEA)."
